Insulation & Gyprock
Two days after the electrican had finished, and the day after I had done my stuff the insulation started to be put in and the gyprock arrived. Tomorrow being Friday I can’t see them leaving to much lying around so the gyprock may be done tomorrow.
Wiring
Now that the roof is on there is no stopping the contractors. It took one guy another day to do the electrical. Very impressive also to do that all by yourself. I came in the next day to do ethernet and phones.
Bricks & Roof
Bricks are finished and the roof is done also. Took them less then a day to do the roof, very impressive. Makes the house look a lot bigger now too.
Shed is up
After two full days and much help from friends and family our shed is 98% done. Got a little more to do to finish off the PA door. I must say it was a lot of fun and looks really good.
More Bricks
The brickies have been doing a kick ass job. House is looking great and bricks should be completed by the end of the week. Roof iron was delivered today also so we might have a roof by the end of the week also. See pics.
Bricks Begin
Probably the most exciting thing to happen lately and that is the brickies starting. Now we can actually see what the bricks we chose look like in a large area. It is apparently going to take them about 10 days to brick the entire house, thats two people.
Windows
A week or so after the frame went up the windows arrived and were installed and the brickies moved some bricks around.
Shed + Backyard
Spent all Saturday there with the Dingo and Shovel and shifted a huge amount of dirt and rubble. Built the shed pad up and leveled out for the driveway down the side. Plus made room for a back lawn one day. We did a pretty good job i think!!
Finished Frame
Took them two days and the entire timber frame was done. Amazing stuff!!! Lots of pics here to look at.
